Project Proposal:
This application will monitor Colorado politics. It will notify users when a new bill is being decided on in the Colorado legislature, and it will provide them with its summary. It will also allow a text response to their thoughts on the bill. Users will be able to see previous responses and corresponding bills. Collaboration with the Colorado Legislative Council will ensure accurate and efficient updates. From them, I will receive the sources of relevant data for bills and their summaries. Then, I will create a program that checks the data sources daily. From here, I will be able to begin learning application development and start creating the application and server. I will likely use Python and Swift along with libraries, as well as a web server or my own server. For the final presentation, I would make a QR code, so audience members can follow along in the application.
